Vice Chairman

James “Bud” Flaherty is Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors for Healing Paws for Warriors, providing non-profit organizational guidance.

​

Bud is a retired Air Force veteran with 33 years of active duty and reserve service with the U.S. Air Force.  He spent 22 years at Duke Field in aircraft maintenance and as a loadmaster on AC-130A and MC-130E aircraft. He retired from the Civil Service after 42 years, having worked in the aircraft modification section in mechanical design and subsequently moving to weapons effects at Eglin Air Force Base.  

His commitment to both his nation and his community is evident in his ongoing support for the Healing Paws for Warriors organization. Bud resides in Shalimar with his wife, Tricia, and their amazing dog Bayou.  Bud and Tricia are active in fostering dogs for HP4W.
