CMSgt (ret) Jennifer “JJ” Johnson is a Healing Paws for Warriors (HP4W) graduate and the Volunteer Committee Chairman. She is responsible for ensuring the growth and stability within our all-volunteer mission by building and maintaining a broad network of volunteers, continually assessing areas of need, and ensuring all volunteers are trained, supported, and most importantly feel a valued member of the HP4W family.
JJ retired after nearly 25 years of service in the United States Air Force. She served in a myriad of specialties to include Services, Manpower Resource Manager, Professional Military Education Instructor, Career Field Manager, Air Force Enlisted Engagements Manager for International Affairs, and Major Command Functional Manager.
After multiple deployments and traumatic incidents, she was diagnosed with complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD-C) and is a survivor of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). JJ has continued her personal growth and recovery post-retirement and was blessed to hear about Healing Paws for Warriors from her counselor and later paired with her wingman Chopper. She is committed to serving the veteran community and their families as a lifelong Airman.
