Monika is on the board of directors for Healing Paws for Warriors (HP4Ws), providing non-profit organizational guidance. Monika is a graduate of HP4Ws and brings a unique perspective to the board as a recipient of a HP4Ws service dog, Buddy.

Monika served 4 years in the United States Air Force as a Communication/Navigation Technician on C-130 aircraft. She served in the Special Operations Command, deploying to Djibouti Africa during Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After her time in the USAF, Monika graduated from UWF with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Monika was involved in student organizations and helped organize food drives for local food banks and animal shelters. She also volunteered for several years with a local animal rescue fostering dogs. She currently volunteers as a class mentor, assisting new students with our course curriculum.

Monika resides in Fort Walton Beach with her husband, Jeff, and rescue dogs, Sirius Black, Lucy Moo, and Brover Stinson.
